Founder & Lead Engineer
Phil founded Attenborough Heating over 20 years ago. Before that, he spent 17 years as an IT analyst — until he'd had enough of working for big business and wanted to get his hands dirty in the real world.
The IT background stuck though: his favourite jobs are still the challenging technical problems, the ones where logical diagnosis matters. Failing controls, intermittent faults, wiring that doesn't make sense.
Engineer
Phil's son. Nine years in the business, fully qualified and experienced. Harry came through AHS's own apprenticeship scheme — learning on the job from the start.
Harry and Jade have a young family of their own, so the business really is a family affair.
Louis and Jack are both engineers who came through AHS's apprenticeship scheme — but the connection goes back much further than that.
Harry and Louis went to nursery together, were best mates all through school, and raced BMX together at international level. Jack is eight years younger, but they've known him since he started racing BMX too, at the track in Bulwell. When it came to taking on apprentices, they were the obvious choice.
Jade handles bookings and is the first person you'll speak to when you call or WhatsApp. She picks things up quickly and keeps everything running smoothly.
Old equipment and scrap metal from our jobs goes to Aid2Gambia (registered charity no. 1157962), a Nottingham-based charity that collects medical and educational equipment no longer needed in the UK and ships it to schools, clinics and hospitals in The Gambia.
